Politics and Brackets
Final-four-bracket Obama has picked North Carolina to win the big dance. Nice! Did you hear his analysis? Obama said, "here's what I like about Carolina: experience and balance."Experience and balance... interesting.
I guess "Hope and Change" didn't factor into the president's bracket strategy, it was "experience and balance." If the president really believed in hope and change, he might have chosen 15th seed Cal St. Northridge to win the NCAA Tournament. That would have been a bold choice that could have reflected Obama's optimism, like America did when it rejected "experience and balance" for "hope and change" in the presidential election.
But this is the Final Four, this is serious business... best to play it safe. I've got UConn winning the dance.
I hope North Carolina fails!

Moderates Rising?
Moderate and conservative Democrats in the Senate are starting to choke over the massive spending and tax increases in President Barack Obama’s budget plans and have begun plotting to increase their influence over the agenda of a president who is turning out to be much more liberal than they are." -Politico
Turning out to be? How about, has always been more liberal than anyone, ever!
So moderates are growing uneasy with the Obama plan... imagine that. Here is what's truly scary... The future of this country is in their hands.

Could this be the ‘spirit of adulation’ surrounding Obama that Archbishop Charles Chaput warned us about? Or is it something else?

I am so offended by this racist depiction of America's first black president! Leave it to the Germans to depict the Chocolate Jesus being chased by a white woman, clinging to his Hussein!
